Instructor: Bob Jackson

Could you identify a potentially mineral-rich deposit from the side of the road? Would you like to know how to find and recover minerals and fossils from your own "backyard"?

This class takes NGI hands-on teaching approach to the next level as you find your own specimens with one of the region's foremost field authorities.

Scout the terrain using geological maps and find out where to look for specimens in the Pacific Northwest. Identify minerals and learn the safe and legal methods to unearth them.
